چکیده

With the aim to produce a cellularized construct for guided bone regeneration of dento-alveolar defects, here we porous scaffold using an amine derivative gellan gum host gingival mesenchymal stem cells (GMSCs) and allow their osteochondral differentiation. Three derivatives were produced by same synthetic procedure, viscoelastic properties aqueous dispersions investigated compared those native polysaccharide choose with suitable production. Freeze-drying was used obtain sponge that can be rehydrated cells’ suspension implantable cell containing hydrogel. We cytocompatibility gum-((2-aminoethyl)-carbamate) (named GG-EDA) possibility use it as starting biomaterial able support osteogenic differentiation GMSCs. Our data suggest GG-EDA did not negatively affect proliferation nor osteo-inductive capability

Preparation and investigation of polylactic acid, calcium carbonate and polyvinylalcohol nanofibrous scaffolds for osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells

Objective(s): In this study, the effect of electrospun fiber orientation on proliferation and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) was evaluated. Materials and Methods: Aligned and random nanocomposite nanofibrous scaffolds were electrospun from polylactic acid (PLA), poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and calcium carbonate nanoparticles (nCaP). The surface morphology of prepared nanofibrou...

Electroactive BaTiO3 nanoparticle-functionalized fibrous scaffolds enhance osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells

It has been proven that the surface topographic cues of fiber arrangement can induce osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells. However, this effect alone is weak and insufficient to meet the needs of regenerative medicine. In this work, electroactivity concept was introduced to enhance the osteoinductivity of fibrous scaffolds. The randomly oriented and aligned electroactive fibrous...

Osteoinduction of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells by Bioactive Composite Scaffolds without Supplemental Osteogenic Growth Factors

The development of a new family of implantable bioinspired materials is a focal point of bone tissue engineering. Implant surfaces that better mimic the natural bone extracellular matrix, a naturally nano-composite tissue, can stimulate stem cell differentiation towards osteogenic lineages in the absence of specific chemical treatments. Herein we describe a bioactive composite nanofibrous scaff...

Osteogenic Differentiation of Rat Mesenchymal Stem Cells from Adipose Tissue in Comparison with Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells: Melatonin As a Differentiation Factor

Background: Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC) could be an appealing alternative to bone marrow stem cells (BMSC) for engineering cell-based osteoinductive grafts. Meanwhile, prior studies have demonstrated that melatonin can stimulate osteogenic differentiation. Therefore, we assayed and compared the melatonin effect on osteogenic differentiation of BMSC with that of ADSC. Methods: Mesenchymal...
